Common in Britain and Ireland.
Summary: has been found mainly on branches of deciduous and coniferous/evergreen trees/bushes (no records from trunks).
Associations:
- Deciduous branches: Alnus incarna, beech, birch, elm, hawthorn, hazel, hornbeam, large-leaved lime, oak and sea buckthorn.
- Conifer/evergreen branches: broom, larch, pines and yew.
- Other microhabitats: heather/bell heather.
