Atlas of Dragonflies in Britain and Ireland

The long awaited new Atlas of Dragonflies in Britain and Ireland was published on 28th May 2014. This full colour, hardback book (280 pages) from the British Dragonfly Society maps the distribution of all 56 species of damselfly and dragonfly in Britain and Ireland. It represents five years' work by volunteers and partner organisations and summarises the distribution of over a million dragonfly records.

It includes:

  • Species accounts, including maps, for all 56 resident and immigrant species recorded in Britain and Ireland;
  • Four pages devoted to each resident species;
  • Sections on habitats, conservation, distribution changes and phenology;
  • High quality colour photographs of all species and their habitats.
